By Sunday, the potential for locally severe or briefly severe thunderstorms will extend for more than 1,000 miles from near the Wisconsin/Illinois border southward to central Texas. That zone extends from southern Arkansas, northward to southeastern Iowa, as far to the west as central Kansas and Oklahoma, and as far to the east as parts of Illinois.
